What we collect, and what we deliberately do not
NordicFX Research Desk is a reading site. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to publish and maintain it.
1. No account, no trading data
There is no sign-up, no login and no trading functionality on this site. We never ask for identity documents, payment details, bank information or trading account credentials. If any page ever asks you for those in our name, it is fraudulent.
2. Data we may process
- Technical logs — IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps, generated automatically when a page is served.
- Aggregate usage counts — page views and reading time, used to decide which research to update next.
- Local preferences — your light or dark theme choice, stored in your own browser and never transmitted to us.
3. Why we process it
To deliver pages reliably, to protect the site against abuse, and to understand which topics readers find useful. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving a free educational publication.
4. Cookies and similar storage
We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking pixels. Your theme preference is kept in browser local storage, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we run no affiliate tracking. Data may be processed by our hosting provider strictly to serve the website. We do not share reader data with trading platforms, including NordicFX.
6. Retention
Technical logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted or aggregated. Aggregate statistics contain no identifying information and may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection regarding personal data. Because we hold almost no identifiable data, most requests are resolved simply by confirming that fact.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly process data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
Updates to this notice appear on this page. See also our terms of use and editorial policy.
